This brief guide will teach you how to create and upload custom windows ISO files to the Vultr server with the help of Onedrive.
Before creating & configuring the ISO file for windows, you’d need to ensure the following files are installed on your system.

- Download ImgBurn Software
Extract ISO File
Extract the ISO file of Windows (7, 8, or 10) to a Windows folder on the Desktop.
Extract VirtIO File
Extract the VirtIO.iso file to the VirtIO folder on the Desktop.
After that, move the VirtIO folder to the windows folder.
Run ImgBurn Setup
Now run the setup file (ImgBurn.exe) of the ImgBurn software as an administrator. Go through the setup wizard instructions and press the Finish button once the ImgBurn installs on your system.
Create Custom File
Now Create a custom ISO file for windows. Launch the ImgBurn application and click on the Mode option and select Build.
Now under the source section, click on the little folder icon (Browse for a folder) to choose the windows folder from your desktop.
After that, select the folder icon under the destination section to save the new file to your desktop.
Now navigate to the Options tab and click on the dropdown menu for File system and change it to the UDF.
Now move to the Advanced tab, click the Bootable Disc tab, and check the “Make Image Bootable” option.
After that, click on the little folder icon to select the image to boot. Open the boot folder from the extracted Windows folder and select the etfsboot file and click the Open button.
Set the Developer ID to Microsoft Corporation and change Sectors To Load from 4 to 8. Then click on the build icon at the bottom left corner to create the custom ISO file and wait for the process to complete.
Upload & Share
Now upload the newly created ISO file to Onedrive. Generate a link by clicking the share button and pressing the embed option. Then copy the generated link and save it to the notepad file.
Now replace the embed keyword with the download and copy the link without extra attributes, as shown in the image below.
Upload to Vultr
To upload the ISO file, open the Vultr Server Control panel, click the ISO tab, press the Add ISO button, and paste the link in the textbox under the “Upload ISO from a remote machine”. Finally, click on the Upload button and boot the file once uploaded.
