Linode is a cloud hosting provider specializing in offering Linux-powered virtual machines for various applications. Given its origins, many experts do not consider it suitable for beginners. Linode was regarded ahead of its time with virtualized hosting when it first launched in 2003.
Getting Started with Linode:
Step 01: Sign Up to Linode.
Step 02: Create your new Linode by clicking on the “Create Linode” button.
Step 03: Navigate towards the “Marketplace” tab and download Kali Linux.
Step 04: Once the downloading is done, boot the kali Linux and update it to download all the dependencies by using the below-mentioned command:
Step 05: To install Kali Desktop and VNC Server, type the following command on the terminal:
apt install kali-desktop-xfce tightvncserver
Step 06: To start VNC Server:
Set up your username and password at the time of installation.
Step 07: To run Kali Linux in GUI mode, copy the SSH Key from the Linode page and:
Here, 6100 and 5901 are port numbers.
Step 08: After the VNC Server is launched, type the port number, and it will launch Linux.
After completing the above-mentioned steps, one can set up Kali Linux with GUI in the Linode cloud. Moreover, one can also access it through the CLI method.
